Tasha & Sam – Sandy Cove Hotel Devon
Some couples just bring the sunshine with them — even in February! Sam and Tasha’s wedding at the stunning Sandy Cove Hotel was full of warmth, laughter, and love from start to finish. With a beautiful coastal backdrop and a relaxed, personal vibe, their day was a perfect reflection of who they are as a couple.
They kept things intimate, with 40 guests during the day and around 65 in the evening. It meant they had time to properly connect with everyone — no rushed conversations, just a calm and joyful atmosphere all day long.

The Look and Feel
Tasha and Sam created a day that was elegant, personal, and full of thoughtful touches. The décor was a relaxed mix of pieces from Etsy and the venue itself, while florals were beautifully arranged by Silk Sublime Flowers on Etsy.
The cake, made by Twinkles Cupcakery, was a lovely centrepiece, and hair and makeup were expertly handled by Cindy Beddard and Rachel Earner of Isabelle Grace Makeup.
Sam wore a suit from Moss Bros and Tasha’s dress was from Brides of Waterfield — a perfect match for their seaside setting.

What they loved about their day
We loved that we had all our favourite people together to celebrate with us. We were really lucky with the weather and had sunshine in February!
What was the hardest part?
Walking down the aisle – both of us were not looking forward to this but the registrars explained everything and it was pretty quick (which is what we wanted), this meant we could get to the bit we were looking forward to (the food and the fun). The lead-up to the wedding was stressful just making sure we had everything we needed and wanted, but once we arrived at Sandy Cove we felt much more at ease and were able to enjoy ourselves knowing that they and our other suppliers had everything under control.

The Food, the Music, and the People Behind the Scenes
Food and drink were handled by the team at Sandy Cove Hotel and the party really got going thanks to Inspired Party, who brought the evening to life.
Stationery was a mix of DIY and print – using both Etsy and Vistaprint. Wedding planning support came from Laura at Kept Weddings, whose calm and experienced presence helped everything run smoothly.

Advice for Couples
Our advice would be to do what you want to do as it is your special day and try not to be too influenced by other people’s opinions. We had a relatively small wedding, but this was perfect for us as we were able to talk to all of our guests through the day and didn’t feel like we were rushing around.
Kind Words
A massive thank you to Ian as he has provided us with incredible photos that we can look back on and relive our wedding day and all the happy memories.
It was an absolute joy to photograph this wedding – full of soft winter light, relaxed vibes, and such genuine love. Thank you again Sam and Tasha for letting me be a part of it.
